Abstract
A new method of audio-based device discovery between PC and Smartphone is proposed in this paper. The encoded IP address is sent from Smartphone´s speaker to PC´s microphone. The decoding of DTMF tones is fully achieved by software-based DSP and this paper will also discuss how to improve the decode success rate by using low pass filters and a moving window of the signal sampling.
