  • Abstract
This paper describes how the instant text-based feedback system was constructed and actually implemented in a foreign language presentation course in Japan. The biggest reason to construct the proposed system is to improve the quality of feedback from the audience and encourage the presenter to have an opportunity for deeper self-reflection. In the implementation of the system, we raised the research question concerning the students´ impression on the difference between this system and the traditional quantitative feedback. Our survey revealed that their attitude toward these two feedback systems was different and that the new system provides the opportunities to think more carefully about their achievements and peer assessment.
