Abstract
The present paper described the implementation of an adaptive scheme of the direct field oriented control (DRFOC) for an induction motor. A nonlinear estimator is suggested to estimate the rotor time constant inverse and thereafter it will be used with motor model to estimate the rotor flux. Both rotor flux and parameter estimations are hardware performed by using the Xilinx System Generator (XSG) for DSP within the Matlab/Simulink environment.
