  • Abstract
Electromagnetic disturbances in cranes nearby MF transmitting antennas are analyzed in this paper. In such an electromagnetic field any large scale conductive structures, such as transmission lines, staff holds, pipes, fences, cranes, etc., act as unintentional receiving antennas. Workers operating with cranes may be endangered from the induced currents and voltages, so as the functioning of the crane and its control system. For various propagation directions and crane dimensions, effective values of the open-circuit voltages versus frequency, so as current distributions along these structures are determined. Besides these results, there are some protective measures given in the paper.
