  • Abstract
    This paper proposes a novel phase angle measurement algorithm through establishing a mathematical model of virtual αβ stationary coordinate that utilizes two expression forms of positive sequence component in two axes stationary reference frame. This method could greatly eliminate the sinusoidal error of the conventional Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) algorithm. The detailed mathematical model and implementation of the new phase angle measurement algorithm are given in the paper. The accuracy and performance of the proposed algorithm are proved by relevant simulation results. The test results and analysis also show that the approach proposed in this paper still work effectively under the existence of harmonics.
