Abstract
Low frequency oscillations between remote areas are big challenges to electric engineer when large networks are connected together. Although many efforts have been made to damp the oscillations by means of control build upon WAMS, many problems remain to be solved. This paper presented a new solution to the problem through accurate control of generator power angles. The new method adds integration block and extra partial block in steam turbine governor. This way, no-deviating regulation of frequency and power angle can be achieved. Since every generator runs on position given by orders, low frequency oscillations between remote areas are eliminated. The new method does not need remote PMU signals, it´s simple and easy to design and configure.
