Abstract
This paper presents a complete modeling and simulation work of proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) in PSCAD/EMTDC. The PEMFC model is established according to some concise electrochemical equations. To verify this model, the static and dynamic characteristics are investigated respectively and simulation results are discussed in detail. As a base for future work, the developed model also shows a potential to study the control system of PEMFC stack as well. Some definite conclusions referred to the operation characteristic of PEMFC are summed up in the end of this paper.
