Abstract
In this paper the technique of non-linear control based on the Generalized Energy Function is employed to design controllers for TCSC devices. This technique, recently developed in [1], extends the ideas of Control Lyapunov Function for a larger class of problems. Besides allowing the controller design, the technique provides estimates of the stability region of the system and therefore can support the systematic evaluation of the controller contribution to the system transient stability.
