Abstract
In this paper are presented the results of 2D numerical modelling performed by the authors using the dedicated software Flux 9.3. for a permanent magnet synchronous motor for driving electric bicycles. We have completed for this purpose all the necessary steps to the effective design: defining geometrical parameters and coordinate system; faces generating of the model; creating regions and the mesh model; the default introducing of the materials; assigning material from the database program for regions of the model; generation of a file with the extension “.tra” and finally displaying the results in magnetostatic regime. These results were compared with those obtained by calculation, demonstrating their validity and compliance with allowable limits of magnetic stresses.
