Abstract

Author of the article deals with Slovak students of secondary technical schools and students of science and engineering faculties at Slovak universities use Facebook to education. Facebook currently has registered more than 350 million users. Today´s students, but most teachers have created an account and is an active user of this social web. In conjunction with the use of this type of communication tool is also linked to the development of digital competences of its users. The aim of this paper was to find out how Facebook can help in promoting education in order to develop digital competence. The survey was conducted on a sample of 240 students of secondary and higher education in the Slovak Republic.
