Abstract :
The paper deals with the use of information and communication technologies within the process of primary education. Currently, the technological development has been part of all human activities, including education. The future is joined with technologies, and that is why most European countries prioritize the process of ICT implementation in their national curricula. This process to be efficient, teachers are those who should have the IT competence in education. The paper provides analysis of several lessons in which the interactive board was used on the primary schools in Hradec Kralove. First, relevant parts of important documents are introduced which had strong impact on the process of ICT implementation; second, results of monitoring primary school teacher´s use of ICT are presented.
