Abstract
Quadrature multiplexed Gaussian minimum shift keying (QM-GMSK) is a bandwidth efficient modulation scheme with similar spectral properties to GMSK of low sidelobes, yet with higher information rate. In this paper, we present an approximation to express the QM-GMSK modulated signal, then derive the bit error probability of a coherent detector and the power spectral density (PSD) of QM-GMSK. The result is compared with performance analysis using computer simulation.
