Abstract :
A modified minimum-bandwidth direct-sequence code division multiple access system is proposed to approach Nyquist transmission rate without sacrificing error performance or user capacity. When orthogonal spreading code is employed, it is shown that the proposed system is able to accommodate all kinds of spreading codes by trading off a negligible excess bandwidth.
