  • Abstract
    Image enhancement is an important technique in image processing. Noise reduction is also one of the main steps in image enhancement algorithms. In this paper, an efficient method is proposed for noise reduction. The method applies fuzzy logic for removing the impulse noise. The results from the proposed method is compared to those of median filter and mean filter. Experimental results validates the robustness of the proposed method in term of impulse noise reduction especially in high levels of noise.
