Abstract
Multicast transmission is an effective technology for data transmission in modern mobile communication systems. Since most application are based on SNR threshold at receiver, it is critical to guarantee the access rate. The problem of beamforming for single group multicast systems is considered to maximize the access rate. We first discuss the access control and some special cases. Closed-form solutions are derived for these special cases. For general cases, an iterative algorithm is proposed based on the introduced concept of channel consistency and channel quality. Through the simulation results, the proposed scheme can improve the access rate significantly compared with traditional schemes. In addition, we also compare the affect of different access sequences.
