Abstract :
This paper investigates the performance of the two-way decode-and-forward (DF) relaying systems with automatic repeat request (ARQ) protocol for Rayleigh fading channels. We assume that both sources are subjected to co-channel interference while the relay is noise-limited. We adopt one retransmission ARQ protocol to improve the system reliability as well as to minimize the delay incurred. Exact closed-form expression of the overall outage probability is derived. Moreover, asymptotic analysis is provided to predict the effect of system parameters on the diversity order and coding gain. Finally, Monte Carlo simulation results confirm the validity of the theoretical conclusions and show that the system proposed can achieve about 3dB performance gain compared with the system without ARQ.
