  • Abstract
    From the theoretical logic which open innovation could improve innovation performance through promoting organizational learning, the paper suggests that the breadth, depth and coordination of open innovation play a significant promoting role for firms. Firms have more advantages in knowledge acquisition, absorption and utilization by the means of multi-cooperation with external technology sources. Open innovation has value for firms to explore and absorb new knowledge, and to enhance knowledge capability in the existing technology areas. The paper conducts an empirical research with 171 Chinese firm samples, the result shows that the breadth, depth and coordination of open innovation have a significant positive influence on organizational learning, the impact of open innovation on firm´s innovation performance is conducted through organizational learning.
