Abstract
Labanotation is widely known in the world and it can be used in recording human body movement. However, because of its complicated format, it is very difficult to record Labanotation manually. Therefore, the goal of our research is to create a system to generate Labanotation automatically and use this system to record various dances. By using a motion capture system, we can acquire accurate data of each joint. The data is saved in BVH (Bio-vision Hierarchical data) file. In this paper, we present a method that using BVH files as initial data to generate dance score which is outputted in the form of Labanotation.
