  • Abstract
The adoption of cooperative spectrum sensing (CSS) is a powerful approach to improve the utilization of scarce radio spectrum resources. However, some secondary users (SUs) may be malicious, i.e. providing false sensing data, in an attempt to maximize their own utility gains. Specially, if malicious SUs conspire with each other to form a collusive clique to launch the spectrum sensing data falsification attack (SSDF attack), the performance of CSS will be severely degraded. To defend against collusive SSDF attack fully, we conclude two types of collusive SSDF attack including VC-SSDF attack and RC-SSDF attack in this paper, and propose a defense scheme using trust, called SensingGuard, to counter them. This scheme provides a novel approach to evaluate the trustworthiness of SUs by analyzing their previous behaviors. Finally, simulation results show that SensingGuard can counter VC-SSDF attack and RC-SSDF attack simultaneously, and ensure the performance of CSS.
