Abstract
To solve EM scattering by complex target with plasma coat, a new conformal method is put forward based on the shift operator finite-difference time-domain (SO-FDTD) method in this paper, by equaling electric parameters in the grids located at the intersection of dispersive media and non-dispersive media, and modifying the EM field recursive formula. The validity and superiority of this proposed method are verified by numerical results of the backward RCS of the conductive ball coated with homogeneous unmagnetized plasma. The RCS of the conductive ball-head cone coated by homogeneous unmagnetized plasma is calculated to analyze the effect of the plasma frequency and the electron collision frequency on the RCS.
