  • Abstract
    In this paper, the application and mechanism of gas sensing technology based on absorption spectroscopy have been described. And absorption features in different wave ranges for common pollutant/dangerous gases have been summarized. Then, the application status of gas sensing technology based absorption spectroscopy has been studied. At last, a conclusion and prospect were obtained: spectral analysis/detection technology is the main part of the application and research of the gas sensing technology based on absorption spectroscopy, researches and applications on gas identification based on absorption spectroscopy are scarce, gas sensing technology based on absorption spectroscopy has great potential and better characteristics but limited by the developmental level of instruments, so it has not been widely used.
