  • Abstract
    This paper introduces the role-based access control (RBAC) model and analyzes the shortcomings of this model in application. In addition, we put forward a hierarchical RBAC model with alpha factor for a special class of management information system. At last, this new model was implemented and verified in the water supply pipeline network information system.
