Abstract :
This work proposes a wideband impedance transformer through proper excitation of dual resonant modes (DRM) in a single resonator. Using an equivalent model that consists of two shunt resonant circuits in parallel, its working principle is physically explained and its wideband impedance transforming performance is achieved. Finally, a wideband 3 dB power divider is developed using this proposed transformer and the predicted results are well confirmed in experiment.
