Abstract :
Nowadays digital filtering is a challenge for the current technologies due to its high computing cost, for this reason using embedded systems it has looked for optimize this kind of filtering using the robustness of these systems. Although the advances in this area have been wide at last decades, its automation is a little-explored area, that is why it is necessary to generate an application that accomplishes this task. This paper shows the implementation of filter through a graphical interface on Matlab that modify some filter parameters such as its cutoff frequency, sample frequency and type. Those parameters are generated automatically and are implemented on a FPGA through and FIR algorithm using a MAC architecture and a softcore microcontroller. This approach to digital filtering automation gives a vision of future projects on other embedded system platforms.
