Abstract :
A proof-of-concept noise abatement system using encapsulated bubbles was applied to pile driving noise with successful results. The system was unique in that it was built to protect a receiving area from the noise generated by pile driving noise. Results from this experiment will be discussed, and in addition laboratory tests demonstrating the potential of using such a system will also be covered.
