Abstract
This article describes the involvement of John Tanaka in the Insulated Conductors Committee (ICC), which is one of the equipment committees of the IEEE Power and Energy Society. Because the ICC is a Power and Energy Society Technical Committee, it is worthwhile to give a short history and description of the activities for the benefit of readers who might not be familiar with the ICC. In addition there will be a description of the activities within the ICC on polyethylene, one of the main materials of John´s research.
