  • Abstract
    In this paper, a typical photovoltaic-based dc miccrogrid is proposed. This dc microgrid is composed of photovoltaic, storage batteries and load. And the dc microgrid is connected to the ac grid. The photovoltaic is used to utilize the renewable sources and using a dc microgrid can reduce the number of converters therefore reducing the losses. The dc microgrid has seven operation modes which lead to fourteen possible transitions. It calls for a coordinate control system to coordinate the control of converters and switches used in the microgrid. This control system is tested in the software package Matlab and some representative transitions results are presented. The simulation results indicate that the coordinate control system can promise the energy supply to priority load in dc microgrid even during the ac grid outages.
