Abstract :
A hybrid PWM scheme for three-level PV inverter is presented. Firstly, modulation schemes are compared with respect to conversion loss with loss breakdown analysis. Then a hybrid PWM scheme is investigated for the PV inverter. The swapping of the PWM scheme is discussed. The proposed hybrid PWM scheme combines the advantages of continuous PWM and discontinuous PWM to achieve higher efficiency. Finally, the proposed hybrid PWM is verified by the experiment in 250kW PV inverter.
