Abstract :
This paper reports detailed development of integrated submodule for 1000V/85kVA modular multilevel converter. The parameters and selection of all the significant devices would be introduced. The control system based on the TMS320F28335 DSP platform is implemented for control purposes as well as protection. All the power supply and the digital signal communication between control system and driver system are effectively isolated. The scheme of testing experiment including control testing, no-load testing, pulse power testing and integration testing are presented in this paper. The experimental results indicate the validity of design and integration.
