Abstract
This paper presents construction and control of a multi-channel energy recycling electronic load system for DC power supply burn-in test. Firstly, a basic module is introduced. It consists of a group of dc-dc converters, a central dc-dc converter and a grid-connected inverter, and the converters can be divided into a selectable part and a fixed part. The selectable part improves the compatibility with power supplies with different voltage specifications and the fixed part reduces the complexity of the design. Based on the basic module, the system is easily enlarged and suitable for numerous power supplies tested simultaneously in the manufactory. The central dc-dc converter is controlled in either Input-Voltage-Control (IVC) mode or Input-Current-Control (ICC) mode according to the different connections of a smart switch. The monitoring platform, which coordinates the whole system, is responsible for mode transfer. A prototype is built and the experimental results verify the effectiveness.
