Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to describe and characterize a needle type giant magnetoresistance (GMR) sensor which is used in biomedical applications. In this research we have shown the main specifications of the GMR sensor and the method of the GMR sensor´s sensitivity determination. The high sensitivity of this sensor allows us to obtain more accurate estimation of low concentrations of magnetic fluid, protein, bacteria and nano-micro markers in a weak magnetic field.
