Abstract :
This paper presents a novel coplanar waveguide (CPW) Archimedean spiral antenna with band notch characteristics using slotted technique. The proposed antenna consists of a two-arm spiral and fed by a CPW transmission line. By integrating of an inverted U-shaped slot within the feeding line, the band rejection characteristics at 2.5 GHz are achieved. This antenna covered the wide frequency range from 2 to 8 GHz. All the data and process on designing proposed antenna are carefully presented to verify their performances in term of return loss and radiation pattern.
