Abstract :
In this paper the widely used benchmark simulation model NO.1 (BSM1) is extended to combine the phosphorus removal by adding two anaerobic tanks and applying the AMS2d as bioprocess. A default control loop and a series of 10 control strategies are implemented in the new simulation plant to test the performance as well as the control strategies. The performance of the plant and the cost of operation are also given to compare the control strategies.
