  • Abstract
Several studies have been conducted in different areas in order to annotate the medical data and extract knowledge, related to diseases, amino acid, genes, proteins, etc. Our research concerns the field of pharmacology which is wealthy but rarely studied. However it is a very interesting field and has great value as it is directly connected to human life. The aim of our research is to annotate MEDLINE abstracts belonging to the domain of pharmacology in order to extract the substances responsible of Adverse Reactions (ADRs) on the human body organs. To validate our approach, we implemented a prototype of a system (AnnoPharma). For this purpose we designed a new approach, based on semantic annotation, showing heartening performance.
