Abstract
The aim of our study is to give an idea about the importance of measuring the potential surface of an insulator submitted to a very high tension. The techniques used to characterize the dielectric materials were either unable to give precise information on the distribution of load or were complicated and limited in their results. Therefore, we opted for new computer technologies for modeling the dynamics of load for the different phases, which proved to be simpler in exploiting the models found and providing more comprehensive information for both the court of the injection phase and the decline phase at all points of the insulator. The result showed an important advancement with relation to the experimental tools.
