Abstract

This paper describes a special grammar and a mechanism for syntactic analyze of sentences on Romanian, based on the idea of using some words/groups of words/words´ endings. In Romanian some prepositions, adverbs or some endings of the words provide a lot of information about the structure of a complex sentence. Using this method, we developed the DIASEXP system that can perform a dialogue in natural language with assertive and interrogative sentences about a “story” (a set of sentences describing some events from the real life).
