Abstract :
This paper presents a new method to solve the transient response of transmission lines with lumped circuit termination. The method divides the transient response of a transmission line into two parts, firstly we can calculate the terminal voltage response in frequency domain by transmission line theory, transformed to time domain by FFT. Then the lump circuit termination is solved by TLM by taking the voltage response as excitation source, so the total transient response is got. It provides a new idea for solution of the different load networks. The simulation results show the efficiency and accuracy of the proposed method.
