Abstract
The algorithms of the channel quality indication (CQI) feedback and the scheduling are proposed to optimize the performance of the frequency division duplex (FDD) downlink coordinated multipoint transmission/reception (CoMP) coordinated scheduling/beamforming (CS/CB) system, where the transmit beamforming is based on the principle of the signal-to-leakage-plus-noise-ratio (SLNR) maximization. The algorithms of the precoding matrix index (PMI) feedback and the precoding corresponding to such CQI feedback and scheduling are introduced here for the completeness of the solution. The performance of above proposed algorithms are evaluated on the system-level simulation platform. By the simulation results, obvious performance gain could be observed in terms of the cell-average throughput and cell-edge user throughput.
