Abstract
In this paper we investigate a two-cell downlink scenario with base station cooperation. We assume that a limited amount of feedback for channel state information (CSI) is available and optimize the numbers of bits for quantizing the desired and interfering channels. A cooperative beamforming strategy with limited feedback is proposed which selects suitable beamforming schemes from zero forcing (ZF) and eigen-beamforming based on the received interference and noise power level of the users. It is shown that the proposed cooperative strategy outperforms existing schemes in different interference scenarios.
