Abstract :
In this paper, we analyze the performance of a CoMP BF scheme in improving cell edge energy efficiency. We use established concepts in MIMO and CoMP to build a system model and simulate it with measured MIMO channel data and SLS SINR values. The CoMP BF simulation results indicate a doubling of energy efficiencies for the cell edge user with minimal impact on the coordinating user. The CoMP BF performance degrades only gradually even with long system delays.
