Abstract :
The results of comparative electrical and mechanical tests of samples made of both low density polyethylene and linear low density polyethylene are represented in this paper. Analysis of advantages of LLDPE HV insulation as compared with LDPE is given. Application of LLDPE for producing HV large-size insulators is shown on an example of HV multi-channel spark gap and insulating rings for HV insulator.
