Abstract :
A robust interception of a maneuverable target by a hybrid dynamics interceptor is considered. The controls of the interceptor and the target are bounded. The duration of the engagement is prescribed. The interceptor has two possible dynamic modes while the dynamics of the target is fixed. The interceptor can change its dynamics once during the engagement. The case, where for both dynamic modes there exists an unbounded capture zone, was analyzed in a previous work of the authors. In this paper, the other possibilities are studied. New cases of increasing the interceptor´s capturability are established. Illustrative examples are presented.
