Abstract
This paper presents a sag compensation system based on a Dy-namic Voltage Restorer (DVR) that exploits Battery Electric Ve-hicles (BEV) or Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV) connect-ed to Vehicles-to-Grid (V2G) charging stations. The most proba-ble voltage sags, in terms of duration and non-delivered power, have been identified thank to a statistical analysis, based on a yearly survey. This data has been used to define a suitable device that can compensate many power quality problems.
