Abstract :
In this work, a miniature broadband four-way power divider is proposed. By implementing the quarter-wavelength lines of a two-stage Wilkinson power divider using bridged T-coils, very compact size with no reduction in bandwidth can be achieved. It can then be applied to the design of four-way power divider with very compact size and broad bandwidth, which can be conveniently realized in the thin-film integrated passive device (TF-IPD) technology. Specifically, a proposed four-way power divider with a center frequency f0 = 1.6 GHz is implemented using the commercial glass-based TF-IPD process. The chip size is 4.6 mm×4.6 mm, which is only about 0.0245λ0×0.0245λ0 at f0. The fractional bandwidth for 15-dB input/output return losses and isolation is 113% with an in-band insertion loss within 1.75±0.6 dB.
