Abstract
Influence of the anomalous skin effect on the surface resistance in 1 THz band is investigated experimentally. Scattering parameters of a 2-inch uni-cast WR-1.0 waveguide made of gold are measured in 0.75-1.1 THz band with a vector network analyzer, and the surface resistance are calculated. It is shown that the surface resistance is proportional to the frequency to power of 0.57, which is between the cases of the classical skin effect and the anomalous skin effect and the surface resistance is in the transition from the classical skin effect region to the anomalous skin effect region.
