  • Abstract
Affected by the equivalent series resistance of the devices in the circuit, the voltage-conversion ratio of the traditional Boost converters is limited. Various topologies have been developed to provide a high step-up voltage gain. With the transition in series and parallel connection of the inductors, an active-network converter with an inherent high voltage gain can be achieved. However, this converter has a strict requirement of the parameters´ consistency; this paper discussed the steady-state operation principle of the converter under the condition that the parameters are inconsistent, and then illustrates the solution to balance the voltage on the switches and suppress the resonance. Finally, according to the proposed clamp circuit, a prototype rated at 100 W has been established in the lab, and the experimental results verify the correctness of the analysis.
