Abstract :
This paper deals with a process line for treating thin steel plates as a target of study. In order to maintain a high quality of steel plate surface, magnetic levitation techniques are adopted in the process line. Then, how we get guidance-force for the levitating thin steel plate or how we maintain stability of levitation against various perturbations in case of treatments on the process line is a key. This paper will discuss the capability toward the realization of process line for very thin steel plates showing the results of various experiments.
