Abstract :
This paper provides an overview on the subject of supply chain management (SCM) in the scope of renewable energy electricity production. It is based on a conducted literature review which targets readers who wish to gain an overview on renewable energy supply chain management in order to identify own starting points for further investigations. In this context the paper introduces current working areas of ecological and renewable energy SCM that are Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM), Electric Power SCM and Renewable Energy SCM. Particularly, we consider the concept of Virtual Power Systems (VPS) enabling renewable energy plant operators to directly sell their electricity in the German market.
