Abstract :
This paper describes measurement of human hand skin deformation for analysis of dexterous manipulation by human hand. Understanding of dexterous manipulation is beneficial in fields of product design to provide tools for designing better, ergonomic or universal design. To measure skin deformation, digital image correlation technique is applied along with video recording. Experiments to observe hand skin deformation is also presented in the paper.
