Abstract :
Regular education and training of professionals from industry in the field of green technologies has a critical role in further shift toward energy sustainability. To conduct such education high quality education resources and training courses are necessary. In this paper two internet based training courses on hybrid vehicles are presented. The first course on hybrid vehicles was developed within SustEner initiative (Teaching Energy for Sustainable World). It is used for training of teachers and as an educational resource that the teachers can use in their classes on secondary education level. Furthermore, the professionals from industry can also use developed educational resources as a source for continuous education. The course is stand-alone, internet based course enhanced by virtual experiments and developed for a self-study. The second course was developed within E-PRAGMATIC initiative (E-Learning and Practical Training of Mechatronics and Alternative Technologies in Industrial Community). It is used for supervised distance training and for in-company training of professionals from electro-mechanical industry. Elearning material with assignments and a practical workshop were developed. The course was evaluated within a large international pilot training for professionals from industry. Feedback of the participants is presented.
